Day 1Buenos Aires

• Welcome to Buenos Aires! Upon arrival, you will be brought to your hotel.
• Enjoy your first night at your preferred hotel in Buenos Aires.

Day 2Buenos Aires

• Highlights of today’s tour include the Plaza de Mayo, the Obelisk, Casa Rosada (Presidential Palace), Cabildo (Town Hall), and Congress Palace.
• Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and see the Colon Opera House. Built at the end of the 19th century ‘Teatro Colon’ is the monumental symbol of the cultural life of Buenos Aires. Delight your senses in Colon’s main hall, considered a world milestone in acoustic quality.
• Follow the steps of Evita Peron at Recoleta Cemetery before heading to San Telmo, Buenos Aires’ most historic neighbourhood.
• Your sightseeing ends in La Boca, the port of call for thousands of immigrants that came from Europe at the end of the 19th century and is today one of Buenos Aires’ most authentic barrios.
• Enjoy your dinner at The Argentine Experience with an interactive dining experience in the trendy neighbourhood of Palermo. Start with a delicious wine-based cocktail. Then, you will be taught the skills and techniques to wrap empanadas (pastries), prepare ‘alfajores’ (sweet biscuits) and serve and drink mate, the most famous and traditional tea. During your experience, a fine Malbec from Argentina’s famous Mendoza wine region is served, as you learn about Argentine culture and cuisine and enjoy your main course of a delicious tender fillet steak.

Day 3Buenos Aires and Ushuaia

• Today we bring you to the airport to take your flight to Ushuaia. Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world and offers a beautiful combination of mountains, sea, glaciers and forests.
• Your half day sightseeing tour begins as you travel back in time and wander the streets, chosen by early British missionaries to found the city initially a settlement of the indigenous ‘Yamana’.
• You will continue through the districts of Brown and Solier, built at the beginning of the 20th century.
• Included is a guided visit to the End of World Museum. The museum traces the heritage and history of Ushuaia and the surrounding region beginning with the indigenous people and continuing through to the first Europeans explorers, adventurers and settlers.
• The local specialities in Ushuaia are king crab or Patagonian lamb.
• After your exploration, get back to Ushuaia to enjoy a special meal at Chez Manu. This restaurant with spectacular views of Ushuaia Bay is run by two Frenchmen, one of whom was a chef at the 5-star hotel Las Hayas. Chef Emmanuel puts a French touch on locally sourced ingredients. A fresh supply of fish ensures a vibrant seafood selection including king crab or another fish caught nearby. Enjoy and Buen Provecho!

Day 4Ushuaia

• This full-day excursion takes you for a ride, to navigate and walk in one of the roughest and most pristine places in the Beagle Channel, Gable Island.
• Your tour starts with a 1 ½ hour drive through glacial valleys and forests.
• Then you have the option to take a guided trip by inflatable canoe down the river and into Beagle Channel to approach Estancia Haberton by sea. Experienced guides help you spot wildlife including many different species of seabirds.
• After 2 hours on the rafts, the canoeing group reaches Estancia Haberton.
• After a short visit to this farm built in 1886 by the first British missionaries, everyone gathers together at the pier in Harberton.
• You will board a zodiac for a 15-minute ride to Martillo Island, home to Magellanic and Gentoo penguins.
• View from the boat the thousands of breeding pairs of penguins just a few meters away from you.
• The location of the island makes it a birdwatcher’s paradise; be on the lookout for albatross, petrels, skuas, cormorants and seagulls.
• Then continue your boat ride and head for Gable Island, where your lunch will be served: Argentinean Picada (a selection of finger foods), baked fish and potatoes.
• Relax on the scenic shore of the island and enjoy the views.
• After lunch, take off on a guided 2-hour hike around the island.
• Surrounded by nature and the sea, the birds fly joyfully in the air, and the wind blows gently. You might experience the feeling of being alone in the world.
• The path leads to different fantastic vantage points of the Beagle Channel. You might even can see the distant town of Puerto Williams across the Chilean border.
• Later, in the afternoon we sail back to Estancia Harberton and board your bus for the trip back to Ushuaia.
• IMPORTANT This tour is offered for max. 16 participants. There is one guide per two canoes.
• Duration: approx. 10 hours.

Day 5Ushuaia and El Calafate

• Enjoy your free morning.
• Later we will bring you to the airport to take your flight to El Calafate.
• Upon arrival, we bring you to your hotel.
• If you arrive in the afternoon, we recommend a visit to Glaciarium Museum. This state-of-the-art museum illuminates the world of ice in a unique and exciting way.
• A large number of infographics, photographs and films explain how glaciers form, along with documentaries on continental ice expeditions and a permanent exhibition on climate change.
• The Glaciobar Branca, with capacity for 25 visitors, is the first ice bar in Argentina and the only in the country serving drinks with glacier ice – a must for an unforgettable experience below zero (the maximum stay is 20 minutes).

Day 6El Calafate

• This day will be unforgettable! You will go to the Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the world’s most massive active continental glaciers and therefore one of the must-see places in Patagonia.
• After breakfast, you will depart by car to the Magellan Peninsula, where the entrance to the Glaciers National Park is located.
• Its centrepiece is the Perito Moreno Glacier which, because of unusually favourable local conditions, is one of the world’s few advancing glaciers. The glacier is a massive field of ice towering 60 m high (180 ft) and reaching five km across.
• The van will drop you off just in front of the glacier, allowing you to stroll along the walkways to view the glacier from different viewpoints.
• Admire breathtaking views of the massive glacier during a walk along its base and watch for the dramatic moment when chunks of ice break off and crash into the waters of the ‘De Los Tempanos’ Channel.

Day 7El Calafate and Iguazu

• Today you will go to another breathtaking place! Be surprised miracles of nature. Let´s go to the airport to take your flight to Iguazu.
• Upon arrival, we bring you to your hotel.

Day 8Iguazu

• You head towards the Argentinean side of Iguazu National Park for a day tour.
• The majority of the falls (approx. 80%) are on this side of the park covering an area 550 km². Enjoy a walk along the upper and lower trails. The lower circuit (1400m) has balconies with marvellous bottom-up views of the falls. The upper course is about 650 m long, and you see the fascinating spectacular from above. This trail has six viewpoints with panoramic views of the waterfalls. Between the two circuits, you will find the station to board the ecological train to reach the final location The Devil’s Throat. At this point, a bridge (2200 m roundtrip) leads out over the Iguazu River and small islands ending at the mighty Devil’s Throat. The Devil’s Throat is 150 m (490 ft) wide and the tallest of all the falls having a height of 82 m (270 ft). The bridge goes right out to the head of the waterfalls, so be prepared for plenty of sprays. We recommend you to time your visit with one of the monthly full-moon dates. This unique tour sets off on a full moon ( 5 times a month) to witness a sight rarely seen by most in their lifetimes.

Day 9Iguazu

• Today we make a half-day tour to the Brazilian side of the Iguazu National Park. You wander along the ‘Cataratas trail’ (distance 1.5 km/1 mile) and enjoy panoramic views of the falls, one of the more beautiful natural landmarks in all of South America. At the end of the trail, a catwalk provides breathtaking views of the tallest waterfall, the ‘Devils’ Throat’.
• The tour ends at the top of the falls accessed through a panoramic elevator.
• Your visit on the Brazilian side is crowned with a boat trip under the falls. The tour starts in the Brazilian Iguazu National Park with a ride through the jungle in open jeep-towed vehicles, where you can see orchids, bromeliads and butterflies.
• You then leave the vehicle behind for an exciting boat tour that takes you right up to the Three Musketeers Fall.
• Get ready to get wet (plastic bags are provided to protect your camera and belongings).
• After enjoying awe-inspiring views of rainbow arcs and the roaring falls against a backdrop of verdant rainforest our adventure ends at Macuco port.
• Sadly, we have to go back to your hotel.

Day 10Iguazu and Buenos Aires

• Today we travel back to the big city of Buenos Aires. After your check in at your hotel, you can enjoy a pleasant afternoon.
• Tonight, we invite you to an unforgettable farewell dinner at Rojo Tango.
• From the moment you enter the Faena Hotel + Universe, one of the most exclusive hotels in the city, you realise that ‘Rojo Tango’ is the tango show that tops all the others shows.
• Walk the red carpet and be welcomed into an intimate setting to be greeted with a glass of sparkling wine before an excellent three-course meal is served, setting the scene for a show of passion and glamour.
• Offering only 90 seats, the Faena’s cabaret room is swathed in velvet curtains and gilded furniture. Each table gets a front row performance with the dancers twirling and dancing throughout the ballroom beside all the tables. The show retraces the history of tango, starting from its cabaret roots to the modern fusions.
