  • Santiago de Chile is one of the most exciting cities in Latin America, and you will enjoy your visit. You will see real contrasts between the modern and the colonial part.
  • Torres del Paine, also known as Macizo or Cordillera del Paine, is a group of mountains that are located in the Southern Chilean Patagonia, specifically within the Torres del Paine National Park.
  • Located 150 kilometres from the city of Puerto Natales and 400 km north of Punta Arenas, Torres del Paine National Park, is one of the favourite destinations of tourists travelling to Chile. It was recently named the Eighth Wonder of the World and chosen as the fifth most beautiful place on earth.
  • San Pedro de Atacama is the archaeological capital of Chile, a beautiful zone and a mandatory journey for every visitor. Through its original streets, it’s possible to enjoy a unique architecture made of adobe. The crafts are made of cacti, chañar, tamarugo trees, volcanic rocks and wood. Another highlight is the local gastronomy, which includes dishes with different kinds of corns; lamb, cattle and llama meat as well as rice, chillies and quinoa (a natural cereal).

Itinerary

Day 1Santiago de Chile

• Upon your arrival, we will receive you at the airport and bring you safely and comfortably to your hotel.
• City tour: Visiting the main tourist attractions.
• Santiago is a mixture of the old and the modern, features that we invite you to know. Our trip through Santiago will show the immensity of the city, its varied geography and civility.
• We will guide you through the Main Square of Santiago, where the Cathedral, Main Post Office and City Hall are located. You will be told about the origins of our city.
• Next stop is the civic neighbourhood and the surroundings of La Moneda Government Palace.
• After that, we will drive through some of the old areas of Santiago, such as República and Concha y Toro neighbourhoods.
• Later we will visit the eastern part of the city, and we will see the modern buildings and the changes that they have brought to the district.
• We finish our tour in a handicraft store, located in an exclusive neighbourhood, where we’ll appreciate with a Pisco Sour, Lapizlázuli masterpieces, made with this stone that just exists in Chile and Afghanistan.
• Return your hotel.
• Enjoy your first night at your preferred hotel in Santiago.

Day 2Santiago, Punta Arenas y Puerto Natales

• Take the first flight to Punta Arenas airport, because a fantastic day is awaiting you.
• Enjoy your free time.
• Transfer to the bus terminal to take the bus towards the city of Puerto Natales (03:15 hours trip).
• Arrival in the town and transfer to hotel.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in Puerto Natales.
• Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 3Puerto Natales and Torres del Paine National Park

• After your breakfast, approximately at 07:30 am, we will depart from the hotel to start the full-day excursion that will lead us to the stunning Milodon Cave Natural Monument and later to the Torres del Paine National Park.
• You will enjoy overwhelming views of the impressive mountains and beautiful lakes such as Sarmiento, Nordenskjold and Pehoé. Its rich fauna will be present through “guanacos” and “foxes”, among others, including several birds we easily can watch during the trip.
• A short trek will take us to the Salto Grande, a magnificent waterfall coming from the rivers of the park.
• Then, returning to the main road, we will access the administrative headquarters of CONAF to continue to the Grey Lake where after a 30-minute walk through a thousand-years forest, we will get to its beach. This is a place to admire, and you can see big pieces of icebergs coming from the glacier.
• A box lunch is included in the service.
• Approximately at 07:30 pm, we will return to your hotel.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in Puerto Natales.
• Breakfast and box lunch included.

Day 4Puerto Natales, Balmaceda, Serrano Glacier and Punta Arenas (21 de Mayo Embarkation)

• Breakfast and departure from the hotel to a local pier to start our sailing to the Balmaceda Glacier and Serrano Glacier.
• This sailing lasts about four hours to the Bernardo O´Higgins National Park.
• During the trip, we will be able to watch cormorants and sea lions colonies, waterfalls and cliffs, the perfect home for the majestic condor.
• Later, we will approach land on “Puerto Toro” docking area, from where we will start a short trek to the Serrano Glacier, crossing a native forest and the lake’s shore.
• Lunch in Estancia Perales or box lunch.
• Approximately at 05:30 pm, we will return to Puerto Natales.
• At the agreed time, transfer to take the regular bus heading to Punta Arenas (3:15 hours).
• We receive you at the terminal and bring you to the hotel.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in Punta Arenas.
• Breakfast and lunch box included.

Day 5Punta Arenas and Santiago

• At the agreed time, transfer to the Punta Arenas Airport.
• Accommodation at a hotel close to the Santiago Airport.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in Santiago.
• Breakfast included.

Day 06Santiago, Calama, Moon Valley and San Pedro de Atacama

• After your breakfast, we bring you to Santiago Airport to take the flight to Calama.
• Reception and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama.
• In the afternoon, departure from the hotel to The Moon Valley.
• On the way, we will stop to take photos of the Salt Mountain Range from a viewing point.
• 19 km from San Pedro, in the Salt Mountain Range, is the Moon Valley, declared a Nature Sanctuary and Monument and protected by the uniqueness of its beauty. It consists of a depression surrounded by small hills with impressively sharp peaks.
• The tour is an imaginary trip to landscapes that do not belong to our world, but to other planets. We will see the Dinosaur Valley and Death Valley, where there is a spectacular panoramic view of the area.
• Now, let´s go to the Moon Valley, where we will find geological formations that are the result of successive foldings of the earth’s crust. In the valley, it is possible to appreciate the salt sculptures known as Las Tres Marias, formed by wind erosion.
• Continuing with the tour, we will walk through the interior of the caves that remain from the old deposits, to get closer to the valley where is the Big Dune.
• After a break, we will climb this dune, which impresses with its size and is used for extreme sports like snowboarding. At sunset, a bold palette of golds and reds appear, touching the soul and sensibilities of the visitor.
• Return to the hotel.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.
• Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 07San Pedro de Atacama and Puritama Hot Springs

• Let´s go to the Puritama Hot Springs (At 02:00 pm until September 2017 and 09:30 am from October 2017)
• Located at 30 km from San Pedro de Atacama we will find the river Puritama, with its waters coming from the Mountain Range. They warm up because of the proximity to the volcanos. Here, you will enjoy an incredible landscape and a 33°C thermal bath, with healing properties.
• After a relaxing stay, we will return to the hotel.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.
• Breakfast included.

Day 08San Pedro de Atacama, Altiplanic Lagoons and Atacamao Salt Flat

• In the morning, we will visit Piedras Rojas (Red Stones), located in the Tara Salt Flat with its fascinating and beautiful red-coloured landscape, remarked by its awe-inspiring geological formations born from the rusting of the iron.
• After that, we will go through the path to the Altiplano to visit the Miscanti and Miñiques Lagoons, located more than 4,200 meters above the sea level and surrounded by grand and imposing volcanoes from the Andes Mountain Range.
• We will continue to Chaxa Lagoon, scenery and beautiful landscape, divided into several water mirrors where a great number of flamingoes and other birds such as Andean Flamingoes.
• Finally, before we return, while the scene features marvellous views of the Licancabur and Lascar Volcanoes, we will visit Toconao with typical colonial architecture, San Lucas Church, the first National Monument.
• Return to the hotel.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 09San Pedro de Atacama - Archaeological tour

• Breakfast in the hotel and at 09:00 hrs departure from the hotel.
• We invite you to discover the richness of the Atacama, or Likan Antai, culture.
• We will gather fascinating information about who lived in the area and how they did it, from pre-Columbian to colonial times.
• We will learn about the customs and traditions of the different cultures that lived in the area by visiting the most notable archaeological sites such as Tulor and Pukará de Quitor.
• The miraculously preserved village of Tulor is the oldest remaining ancient dwelling place in the Atacama Basin, and the first human settlement, called “Cuna de los Likan Antai (Cradle of the Likan Antai people)”.
• Pukará de Quitor, a construction from the twelfth century, was a witness to certain historical events that are part of the local culture.
• We end our trip in San Pedro de Atacama, with a visit to the church before the return to your hotels.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.
• Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 10San Pedro de Atacama, Tatio Geysres and Santiago de Chile

• We leave at dawn from San Pedro de Atacama Hotel to go to the Tatio Geysers, a geothermal centre with geysers that can only be seen very early in the morning.
• After seeing this spectacular sight in a magnificent natural setting, we have breakfast.
• On the way back, we see the majestic Andes mountain range, whose peaks seem close enough to touch.
• We then arrive at Machuca, a small llama herder settlement. The village is filled with adobe houses with thatched roofs. Green wetlands lend a unique charm.
• Transfer to airport and flight to Santiago.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in Santiago de Chile.
• Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 11Santiago

• After a restful night’s sleep and a delicious breakfast, it´s time to say Good-Bye, and we bring you back to the airport, to take your flight home.
